The Program Manager will be responsible for the efficient and effective execution of large IT programs. This position requires overseeing multiple projects within the program, ensuring compliance with all governance processes.
The immediate program focuses on a core element of our business; facilities management, and the in-house-developed platform the users rely upon every day. It is a combination of mobile and web, improving upon existing functionality and building completely new capabilities.
We’ll be using a combination of traditional waterfall and Agile (Scrum) approaches to suit the attributes of each project.

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, control and completion of projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.  Main tasks and responsibilities include:

• Manage and deliver multiple, concurrent projects, using a variety of approaches, within a single program, on-budget and on-schedule;
• Facilitate the definition of project scope, critical success factors, and deliverables;
• Define project tasks and resource requirements;
• Assemble and coordinate project teams and stakeholders;
• Work with the internal application development team to translate user stories into tasks, and track progress
• Act as the communication bridge between IT and business stakeholders;
• Manage external vendors to ensure they deliver against the standards we expect;
• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules and other project documentation;
• Develop project budget and remain accountable throughout the project;
• Manage project resource allocation;
• Track project deliverables using appropriate tools;
• Provide direction and support to project teams;
• Constantly monitor and report on progress of the projects’ risks, issues and solutions to all stakeholders;
• Forecast and manage changes to scope, budget or schedule and approve via a formal project change request;
• Contribute to the shared knowledge base of the organization through phase and project lessons learned sessions and continually-develop and improve our project management approach, templates and processes


• Post-Secondary education in Computer Science, Accounting or Business or equivalent experience
• Project Management Methodologies Training or Certification. PMP designation is preferable
• Scrum Master certification is an asset

• Seven to ten years direct work experience in project management capacity;
• Proven experience in implementing IT systems across departments;
• Proven experience of working in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
• Facilities management / real-estate background is a strong asset;
• Fully proficient in the use of MS Projector other PM tools
Familiarity with TFS (Team Foundation Server) is an asset
