SUMMARY

The Manager, IT Projects will be responsible for the establishment and leadership of a variety of Operational IT Projects to completion. Our client has several ongoing critical operational projects at the same time required to support the day-to-day operations of the organization. This role is required to scope, plan and deliver operational projects whilst the operations teams continue to support the needs of the business.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Capture, develop, communicate and control project plans, objectives and budgets across all IT Operational teams inclusive of Infrastructure, Applications and Desktop Support.
• Partner and engage with Corporate ePMO and IT Development project deliveries.
• Assume ultimate responsibility and ownership (cradle to grave) of all agreed / approved Operational Projects
• Take control of company migration to Windows10 and O365.
• Centralize global assets to singular tenants.
• Track and maintain validity for all backlog Operational Projects for advancement to approval.Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and cost.
• Develop delivery schedules in accordance with organizational change management standards
• Identify and develop measurement methods ensuring visibility of project progress.
• Management of all aspects of project phases, ensuring on-time completion and resource coordination.
• Collaborative engagement with team management for the assembly and preparation of project team members, assignments and completion of tasks
• Planning and coordination of project reporting and communications.
• Manages day-to day project management relationships with all IT /Business support teams to ensure meeting or exceeding client’s expectations.
• Support, educate and promote adherence of all IT standards and processes (i.e. Security, IT Governance, Service Management & Governance, Architecture, etc.), and provide input for improvements to the appropriate process owners as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of action.

• Travel is expected to be minimal - < 10%

EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• MINIMUM EDUCATION: University graduation or professional certification (e.g. PMP certification or equivalent courses)

• JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: More than five years up to ten years

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong business / market knowledge – real estate specific is an asset.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to interface at all levels within the organization from front line to executive.
• Project Management and Planning skills.
• Ability to influence, motivate and inspire others.
• Able to develop a detailed understanding of tactical systems.
• Proficient with MS Office tools: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Access
• A working knowledge of all levels of technology (process, tools, development, networking, architecture, infrastructure).
• Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation
•  Project Management Professional (PMP) – required
