Provides lead engineer technical oversight for large projects. These responsibilities include; technical compliance, status reporting, customer interface and subcontractor support.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
·Reviews existing product designs and manufacturing processes and makes recommendations for reducing costs while maintaining product performance objectives.
·Optimizes the design from a manufacturing point of view and develops manufacturing methods and processes.
·Reviews and Monitors project schedules, budgets and forecasts. Direct and coordinate technical and operational activities of the program(s) through other departments.
·Recommend methods and procedures for accomplishment of program goals in accordance with allotment of funds to various phases of project.
·Provide technical and project management liaison with outside consultants and subcontractors assigned to the project.
·Establish appropriate schedules with Subcontractors, Manufacturing and other internal departments through completion of project to ensure that customer requirements are met in the most effective manner.
·Coordinates training for production personnel
·Provides engineering assistance during installation of Antenna Systems.
·Report status to Program Manager in a timely manner.
·Prepare reports and present data to customer, as required.
·Provide technical advice to assist in solving problems and maintaining continuous process and product improvement.
·Performs other assignments as directed.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL
·BSEE or BSME Required, MS or higher Preferred
·Security Clearance is a plus – must be willing and able to be cleared for DoD secret level
·8-10 Years experience in subsystem designing and/or lead engineering for large antenna projects – EHF experience is a plus
·Ability to multi-task in a small company environment
·Excellent written and verbal skills
·Ability to solve problems in a timely manner
