Software Engineering Manager

Summary: this position is responsible for the management of software development at company. This includes developing the overall system design and providing hands-on involvement in the detailed design, coding, code reviews, and testing of the software. They will be responsible for managing the Programmers to ensure the development and release of critical products for the company, while maintaining the utmost in product quality.

- Minimum of BS in Computer Science (or a closely related field)
- Minimum 10 years of software design and development experience.
- Minimum 2 years management experience in software design and development including direct report personnel.
- Direct design and implementation experience in .NET environment and an extensive knowledge of the principles of the development environment.
- Direct design and implementation experience using C# and other similar coding languages.Direct design and implementation experience using databases.
· Process and task oriented, organized, quick thinker with ability to coordinate various activities at once.
· Must have strong experience with hands-on management of a software development team including current technologies, code reviews and design/architecture.
· Must have expert technical leadership and project management skills, including project effort estimation & tracking, and risk assessment.
· Strong knowledge of standard development methodologies and debug, defect tracking and source control tools.
· Familiarity with Microsoft design principals and other good programming practices.
· Expert understanding of project cycles, program management, software development environments, and configuration management.
· Familiarity and experience with Installshield (version 9.0 and above).
· Familiarity and experience with Oracle databases (personal 9i and above preferred).
· Post graduate degree in Computer Science or related field
