Two casting engineer positions available. The casting engineer will be assigned to a specific manufacturing line and be responsible for process improvement increased efficiencies pm programs scrap reduction tooling troubleshooting project management budgetary requirements and team initiatives.

This position will work closely with maintenance and hourly associates while spending 50-70% of their time on the production floor.

You will report to a senior engineer in the manufacturing group. The company has had two expansions since start up in the mid 90’s. They have never had a layoff and promote internally whenever possible.
This position does pay overtime and offers extremely competitive health benefits to the employee and family (includes dental and vision.) Required skills and background:
Education: A minimum of an associates degree. Candidates must have at least 1 year of casting experience (either die casting sand high or low pressure.). Strong manufacturing engineering background - including experience working on efficiencies scrap reduction and continuous improvement. Strong hands on mechanical aptitude (troubleshooting manufacturing equipment). Must be willing to work off shifts 3-4 weeks out of the year and every other weekend - Weekends are paid overtime. Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Desired skills:
Bachelors Degree. Automotive background. Lean methodologies. Product launch. Budget Experience. Microsoft Project. Machining Experience. Tooling Troubleshooting.
