Job Descriptions:
Check patients to exam rooms and get detailed health history for sick and annual visits, take vitals signs, give immunizations to varies age of children, get patients ready to be seen by the doctor.
Perform different blood test on patients such as Mononucleosis, Streptococcus, rapid Influenza test, Complete Blood Count (CBC) and Texas Metabolic Newborn Screen. Also give several kinds of breathing treatment such as Nebulizer treatment and hearing and vision test.
Input lab orders into the computers and other lab orders to be sent to different labatory sites around Austin, get patients charts ready for appointments for the next day.
Front desk duties include collecting co-pays for patients and verifying insurance, answering multiple phone lines and schedule patients appointments, taking messages for nurses and doctors, Taking prescription refills for different type of medications for patients. Filing paperwork related to the clinic, auditing receipt books to ensure proper money collection.
