Screw Machine Engineer – multi spindle, estimate, tool, layout, troubleshoot

Fantastic opportunity! Growing company looking for another engineer to join their team. This division produces fluid power components. We are searching for candidates with 5 years plus of developing cost estimates, layouts and tooling packages for multi spindled screw machines. Candidates will need the ability to work from part prints. Knowledge of speeds, feeds and the ability to select cams, gears, as well as, machine attachments is a must. A technical degree is helpful, however, not required. The main focus of this position is estimating and developing processes for new products. Knowledge of form tools, shave tools, reamers, drills, taps, knurling and threading is a must. This position is responsible for all the up front engineering for the screw machine department. Cad software experience is not required. This opportunity is ideal for candidates who have come up the ranks, and progressed their career into engineering. Past experience processing Acme, New Britain, Conomatic, Greenlee and/or Wickman multiple spindle automatic screw machines is required.
