Background Required:

B.S. Degree in Engineering or related field.
Strong background in agricultural processes and farming.
Previous experience with trailer engineering or manufacturing and potato equipment design and operation.
Training, experience, and strong skills with computer aided design programs, Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.


Responsibilities:

Design trailers and agricultural equipment using requirements provided by sales staff, customers and management; specifically aluminum trailers, semi-trailers, bulk beds, and other potato field and handling equipment.
Communicate with designers, detailers, fabricators, and customers with hand sketches and drawings.
Convey ideas and concepts to sales staff, customers, and designers.
Ensure equipment safety and quality by calculating stress in critical design areas using standard engineering practices.
Work with sales staff, service technicians, and customers by consulting and performing work as needed.
Specify the fabrication process for completion of equipment production.
Provide cost justification for various products by keeping complete and accurate bills of material.
