Our client is seeking a System Test senior staff engineer for Infrastructure communication testing. Areas of responsibility will include RFP requirements analysis, test analysis, network testing, verification testing and some system engineering support. Create and maintain test related documents for related projects. These documents would include System Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Instructions, weekly reports and Test Reports. Ongoing work towards improving the test process is also expected. Work with design teams for system integration and verification efforts. Communicate effectively, both written and orally.
Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience; with a minimum of five years of engineering experience relevant to the communications field.
Special Requirements:
The candidate needs to possess the following technical skills: digital communications, IP network design, and system diagnostics. Candiate must be familiar with computer and network test techniques. Also very good interpersonal and team building skills are desired as are good technical documentation skills. Must be proficient in the following skills; SUN (UNIX), Cisco Networking, and Windows 2003 Server.
Must be able to work independently and coordinate a test project. Must be a self-starter and have excellent time management skills with the ability to work well under schedule pressures and balance priorities. Individual must be able to work well to meet team project goals. Individual must be receptive to change, input and give and receive feedback to and from others within the company.
