Posted: Oct 25, 2007 Responsibilities

*Identify and lead Six Sigma Quality initiatives for Wind turbine product.

*Drive improvement for the Energy Engineering Division Big "Y" initiatives within Wind Systems Engineering.

*Work with process owners to identify, prioritize and drive process improvement opportunities that contribute to product quality and minimize cost of quality.

*Develop, drive and lead projects to meet operational performance targets and business operating plans.

*Utilize Six Sigma tools to analyze potential improvements.

*Communicate metrics and project objectives, status, barriers, and results to all levels of the organization as required.

*Educate, coach, and mentor Green Belts on Lean Six Sigma methodology and application.

*Facilitate Best Practice Sessions, Work Out, and Benchmarking.

*Execute special projects as assigned.

*Become Black Belt trained and certified.
Qualifications

*B.S. degree in Engineering.

*Minimum 8 years of engineering experience.

*Green Belt certification DMAIC and DFSS (GE Employees only).

Desired

*Knowledge of Wind business.

*Demonstrated project management and cross-functional leadership skills.

*Excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills including the ability to influence and energize

*Strong leadership and organizational skills especially in matrix environment

*Self-starter and able to work with limited supervision.

*Change management / influence skills: demonstrated process change and process creation experience.

*Advanced degree.

*Experience with Lean quality programs, processes, and implementation.

*Experience with application of Change Acceleration Process (CAP) tools.

*Demonstrated GE Growth Traits.

*Flexible and adaptable to changing roles & priorities.
