Financing can be one of the more challenging parts of a complex farming, construction or commercial landscaping operation. John Deere Credit was founded to offer financing solutions to the industries we serve and the customers we know best. In addition to providing retail, wholesale and lease financing to help customers buy John Deere equipment, we also serve the broader needs of the agricultural industry by offering revolving credit and operating loans to help farmers purchase needed supplies and services.



John Deere Credit has also recently entered the renewable energy arena with a business unit that focuses on community-based wind projects. The company has already invested in a host of wind energy projects in the rural United States, which not only will drive additional income for farmers but will also meet our nation’s growing demand for electricity. As the demand for wind energy continues to grow, John Deere Credit is poised and ready to provide project development, debt financing and other services to those interested in harvesting the wind domestically and abroad.



John Deere Credit is seeking an IT Analyst to provide application development and support to enable our partners to sustain and grow our businesses. This position is located in Madison and will be supporting our revolving credit products. In this position we are looking for an experienced candidate that has the flexibility to work in multiple programming languages and environments. In this position, you will:

Participate as required to design, develop, test, and integrate applications of high complexity.
Design, develop and implement complex changes impacting several processes with minimal direction.
Serve as a key team member which may include being on multiple teams and/or team lead.
Serve as a consultant or expert and actively share knowledge across workgroups.
Apply information analyses to optimize the integration of major strategic business processes.
Lead in the implementation of information technology and business processes of high complexity.
Support, evaluate, and continuously improve information technology and business processes to maintain alignment with business plans of medium-high complexity and medium-high risk.
Acquire a solid foundation of project management.
Engage in expanded contact with varied and multiple departments and functional operations; actively participate in strategic business relationships and/or issues.
Occasionally plan work and schedules for others for project related work.



Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in an Information Technology discipline.
Required Skills and Experience

5+ years experience in analysis, design, development, and implementation of large scale applications.
2 Years mainframe development using COBOL/JCL.
Development experience within a Java/J2EE environment.
Strong knowledge of DB2.
Knowledge of XML and its related technologies, JMS, EJB, JSP, Struts and Servlet technologies.
Experience with web development using web standards (XHTML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Understanding of applications development environment, database, data management and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
Understanding of database administration, database design.
Ability to analyze, translates, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
Problem analysis using standard debugging tools and techniques.
Strong analysis, technical design and testing skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.

Desired Skills and Experience

CICS background.
