Black Rock Studio is currently looking for aTechnical Director to spearhead theCore Technology Group at our Brighton-based studio. The studio, best known for award-winning titles such as the MotoGP series on Xbox 360 and PC and the multi-million selling ATV Offroad Fury 3 & 4, is now developing new-gen original IP racing games and looking for talented and passionate racing game enthusiasts to join the teams on these innovative Xbox 360 & PS3 projects. This is a newly created position and the role reports directly to the Studio Technical Director. #
Skills range / responsibilities:
Coordinate the development of our shared technology platform. Lead a growing team of specialists focusing on all areas of our core technology including tools, infrastructure, graphics engine and audio. Work closely with our game teams to support their needs and requirements. Be responsible for planning and strategic technology development. Research, study and educate the team about new and relevant technologies / methodologies. Excellent level of proficiency with C++. At least 3 years experience as a lead / managing a technical team. The ability to lead a dynamic team environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Participate in the interview process as we expand the CTG. Educational requirement:
A BS Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Candidates with applicable and equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
