JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for leadership around firm's Hosting and Managed Services Messaging services. This includes Managed Services for Exchange, Domino and Sophos Anti-Spam/Virus. Needs to understand the foundations of delivering secure messaging for customers for all current messaging applications and identify future messaging technologies to meet customer’s growing needs.



Primary Responsibilities:

Leads the collaboration with other technology leaders to develop sound designs, tools and process for consistently delivering and managing messaging solutions.
Leads the planning, design, and implementation of messaging applications and related software for Hosting and Managed Services customers. Determine system specifications and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility.
Ensures consistency in the deployment of messaging environment for manageability and supportability.
Serve as liaison to third party vendors (e.g. IBM, Microsoft) to facilitate problem resolution.
Mentor others technical and professionally.
Effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
Assess and recommend architectural designs/changes to customer systems in response to performance issues, growth requirements, etc.
Provide proactive/reactive support to data center customers for advanced network, server, OS, and application services. This may include identification and execution of specific upgrades to customer systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable.
Seven to ten years of large – scale, enterprise – class planning, design implementation and support of messaging environments.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) preferred
Hands-on experience in a large data center environment is beneficial
Demonstrated experience presenting technology recommendations from a business perspective
Technologies: Microsoft Exchange & ISA, Sophos Anti-Spam/Virus, Lotus Notes/Domino
Limited travel required
