Job Summary

The Digitas Account Planning team uncovers breakthrough customer insights that inspire impactful cross-channel marketing programs, and drives the application of customer insight into the marketing program development process. The ideal Associate Director candidate has 7-10 years experience in developing and applying breakthrough customer insight in a general agency account planning group, brand consulting firm or strategy consulting firm. Exceptional thinking, communication and influence skills are required.

Detailed Description

• Apply account planning skills and methodologies to create relevant, breakthrough customer insights across all channels
• Build demand for the account planning role - demonstrate the impact, build momentum
• Optimize the impact of customer insight in the creative/program development process by partnering with creative
• Also partner with strategy teams to maximize insight derived from their analytics and insure key findings applied to development of marketing programs
• Quickly identify the key insights from existing client/Digitas data and identify relevant marketing program implications
• Lead brainstorms that efficiently produce breakthrough insight and maximize team contributions
• Expertly apply the Digitas Active Branding model and contribute to enhancements of brand strategy offerings
• Drive insight into the company new business process
• Drive teamwork into everything you do

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to build demand for account planning; success bringing account planning to clients and teams who haven't used it before
• Exceptional writing, communication and influence skills
• Inspirational, compelling personality; the kind of person others always look to for ideas
• Exceptional brainstorm leader; focus group moderation expertise helpful
• Experience formulating successful brand positionings and applying customer insight to the development of award-winning marketing campaigns
• Qualitative research technique guru - projective techniques, etc.; passionate about applying cutting edge qualitative methodology to insight creation
• 7-10 years of experience working in a general advertising agency account planning department; brand consultancy; consulting firm or large DM firm strategic planning/account planning group
• MBA or advanced degree a plus; undergraduate degree in thinking/writing-intensive discipline like history, American studies, political science, anthropology/sociology, journalism, psychology, etc..
