Client is seeking Desk Strategists to join the Structured Credit Trading. The “Desk Strategist” will "add value" to the Firm through the creation of models, trading strategies and valuation tools to be used by the desk.
Responsibilities include:
1) Creating models and strategies that the desk will use to drive trading decisions.
2). Effective candidate will have a proven track record of being able to market and sell strategy to the trading desk.
3) Analyzing and managing the risk of the positions currently on the books.
4) Creating pricing and marking models and tools for securities that are currently on the books or about to be purchased or bid on.
5) Creating trader efficiency tools.
6) There is a strong possibility of needing to discuss and market models with clients.

Skills Required
1) Strong mathematical, analytical skills and knowledge of the Structured Products business.
2) Strong hands on technology skills are also key to this role (C++ programming).
3) Strong communication skills are necessary.

The ideal candidate must have not only spent a good amount of their time building models and writing code, but selling strategies to the desk with a good track record of positive results.
