Energy Learning Center GT Mechanical Instructor responsible for development and delivery of training curriculum for Gas turbine mechanical courses, serving the Power Services Field Engineering teams. Deliver both entry level, advanced and refresher training courses on GE turbine mechanical equipment. Work closely with ELC Team, GT Design and Product Engineering teams to deliver current, cutting edge technology training to meet business fulfillment needs. Integrate Field Engineering e-tools, reporting, service notice and other business processes into the controls programs.
* Self Starter with great oral and written communication skills.
* Technically savvy, with in-depth hands-on GE heavy-duty gas turbine frame product knowledge.
* Ability to learn and apply new technology, specifically F-class.
* Develop and build lab stations to support courses.
* Function as a technical subject matter expert in areas of expertise.
* Appraise performance of program participants.
* Support Customer training classes as necessary. Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physical Sciences, or 5 + years work experience in engineering or physical science field.
* Min. 2 years field experience with Turbine equipment installation, startup and maintenance.
Desired
* Field Engineering Program (FEP) Graduate.
* Training Experience (customer or internal).
* Recent installation experience; Gas Turbine Startup Program graduate.
* Green Belt certified (GE Employees Only).
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (oral and written).
* Flexible, willing to learn and teach new technologies.
* Organized, team player.
* Knowledge of HDGT products. General
