Our client is one of the well established MNCs based at Bangalore has an urgent requirement for the position of Software Engineer – Unix Kernel, MPLS, VPN, Ethernet. Remuneration will be excellent for the suitable candidate.

Job Description:

1. Design, develop, unit test and support kernel networking features for Juniper routers. Work on High availability. Contribute to new product development. Lead technical projects and mentor engineers.

Job Requirement:

1. The incumbent must have exposure with UNIX kernel internals, Network programming is essential.
2. He/She must have thorough knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP and related protocols
3. Strong C programming language, system design and debugging skills are required.
4. Ability to learn system architecture and take ownership of big software components.
5. Ability to mentor less senior engineers and technically lead projects.
6. Experience with MPLS, Layer 2 protocols, network services such as VPN, VPLS desirable
7. Working knowledge of routing protocols, Ethernet switching, packet forwarding is also desired.
8. Experience in high availability, FreeBSD kernel is a big plus

Education:
Bachelor degree in EE or CS

Experience:
3 - 8 years of relevant experience
