Responsibilities: Diagnosis and repair PC related problems in a Wintel environment.
Requirements: Candidate must have 5 years experience with the following: Field Technician, Laptop Maintenance & Repair, Lexmark Printers, Canon Printers, Hardware, HP, Epson Printers, PC Maintenance & Repair, IBM Hardware, Dell and Wintel. Ability to coordinate efforts with end user and EDS Help Desk to isolate and resolve hardware/software related problems. Ability to work independently with limited supervision. Familiar with Dell and IBM hardware, MS Office Suite, MS XP OS. Will require to be on call. Skills/Certifications: Strong customer communications skills. 4 to 6 years PC experience. 1 to 2 years software support experience focusing on Windows XP environment, and MS applications. MCP Certification preferred. Ability to independently, identify and diagnose problems with PC and related network hardware. Able to identify defective parts and order them, track replacement parts meeting SLA requirements. Type of Equipment: IBM/Dell desktop and laptop --- HP/Lexmark/Cannon and Epson Printers. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Preferred. UPDATE: there will be no need to this person to be on-call. This position will be a 40 hours per week with overtime "as needed"..
