Accounting Principals is looking for an accounts payable person. Previous A/P experience with at least 2+ years of work experience in payables. We are looking for someone who has high volume payables exposure with aging, analysis, posting, batching, check preparation, coding, extended invoices, matching, month end and recon to GL. The main function of the position would be experience with purchase orders and the matching of vendor invoice to purchase orders. Excellent organization skills, Good verbal and written communications skills. Technical skills in Excel, Word and Accounts Payable software-preferably Oracle.
Scope of duties: Entering A\P invoices into Oracle system including matching of invoices to purchase orders. Preparing checks for payment which entails matching vendor invoices to related checks and reconciling billed-to-dater per Oracle system to vendor completed and billed billed-to- date per invoice. Ideal candidate will have engineering/architect or construction background. Alphabet based filing. Communicating with project managers and vendors to resolve questions/issues regarding invoices.
