Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Manager, Application Systems, the incumbent is a key member of the Web Development team, required to develop web applications according to functional requirements. In this role, the incumbent will be responsible for the analysis, design, and implementation of features and modules in an existing application to address specific corporate needs.
Principal Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Business Analyst and business users in developing and documenting technical specifications to address corporate needs.
Work closely with the Business Analyst and business users to implement new functionality or modules in an existing or new Web application according to specification.
Develop code according to the company´s programming policies and coding standards.
Liaise with other internal IT groups on designing and analyzing cross-platform systems.
Work closely with the Business Analyst and business users to debug and test system interfaces, modifications and additions, to ensure high quality system performance.
Provide general system support, as required, and make recommendations for improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
College Diploma in Computer Programming or Engineering, University degree preferred.
Demonstrate understanding of Portal and Content Management Architecture.

Hands on development experience with Enterprise Content Management Systems, preferably Stellent Content Management Tools: Content Server: Web Content Management: Site Studio: in pSeries/AIX / DB2/WebSphere environment.
Minimum 1 year of Java Swing experience on large enterprise applications.
Minimum 3 years of Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Have strong analytical and technical skills in order to understand integration requirements into existing web solutions as well as 3rd party software
Practical experience with graphical user interfaces design is highly preferred.
Experience with document management is a definite asset.
