In this role, you will use your strong technical, communication and leadership skills to deliver small to enterprise level Microsoft BI implementations that will enable clients to better run their organizations. You will act as a “trusted advisor” to the client to gain in-depth understanding of their business needs, make recommendations, and facilitate the successful building of BI tools/systems. As BI Developer, you are a critical part of the system architecture process, and must have enough business savvy to translate the customer’s business requirements into technical requirements. Maintaining a constant, clear line of communication with team members is also crucial.

Responsibilities:

Develop innovative solutions that meet customer and team expectations
Determine development estimates for project team and to the customer for scope, schedule and budget
Make implementation recommendations to team, and customers as necessary on behalf of the team
Provide timely communications to all necessary parties
Work collaboratively with a team, which may include other developers, testers, technical and business analysts and project managers

Qualifications:

Extensive (5+ years) software design and development skills and experience with SQL/OLAP/Data related roles
Working knowledge of SQL Server, Analysis Services, Reporting Services, Integration Services, Teradata, Oracle, Hyperion, Business Objects, Cognos
Demonstrated experience in development of high performance Business Intelligence applications by implementing ETL packages, creating cubes/UDM, writing SQL queries, building data warehouses, conforming to existing or creating new Dimensional Schemas, implementing OLAP cubes and/or front-end BI tools
Experience with Microsoft Business Intelligence Stack
Strong knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following areas: information retrieval; Internet advertising; direct marketing; statistical analysis of data; Web technologies, distributed computing; SQL DBA programming and/or performance optimization; information presentation; large scale data processing; data warehousing; or data mining
Ability to work independently and in a team to research innovative solutions to challenging business/technical problems
A passion for innovation; a willingness to take on big challenges; a commitment to building great products; and a desire to collaborate effectively with teams and customers
Self-motivation and the ability to act on multiple projects at a time if necessary
Excellent communication skills are an absolute must
