Looking for abstractors (Independent) in all 50 states!!

Required:
1) RHIT, RHIA, RN, or MD
2) U.S citizen and able to obtain security clearance
3) Definitely plus if you have VA or DoD experience
4) Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 year of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Job Description:

Upon receipt of medical record pull list, abstractors will make predefined monthly scheduled site visit and abstract the required patient care data from onsite medical records at each facility. He/she collects data from all charts completed by an organization and enters the data into an electronic database. Abstractors keep abreast of continually changing information, concepts, improvements and requirements in the field of medical review, coding and documentation. They apply skilled judgment in determining that deviations from these expectations may indicate an omission or inaccuracy within the patient's medical record. Abstractors/coders assist providers, nurses, and technicians to understand data outcomes.
