This position is for software or system engineers to provide Front Line Engineering/Tier 2 support for TURBULENCE installations.

• Operational System Support- Provide support to front end and back end TU systems. This includes monitoring and improving monitoring of these systems; responding to and ensuring resolution of operational issues reported by site personnel, 24X7 Monitoring centers, Tier 1 support, dataflow groups, and end users; and providing feedback to development engineers on how to improve stability and supportability. May also assist with installations, upgrades, and patches and ensure system is operating as expected after these actions.
• Thread and Dataflow support - Monitoring data flows and threads that have been implemented to ensure end-to-end flows are operating as expected. This would include working with support people/developers to understand the scenarios that have been implemented and what monitoring is involved to ensure that these scenarios are running as expected on the live system and troubleshooting needed if they are not.

Desired Skills & Experience:
• Working knowledge of Linux (evidenced in work-history)
• Knowledge of collection systems
• Experience with script writing
• Strong communications skills
• Experience supporting complex operational software systems including trouble shooting and problem solving
• Experience with Remedy
• Willing to provide after hours support when necessary
• Willing to work non-standard hours when necessary
• Ability to work in high pressure, highly flexible environment against both short and long term requirements.
