Currently, Chubb is expanding its Commercial Underwriting operations to conduct renewal underwriting in one of two centers. This operation is located in our Phoenix, AZ office. We are looking to add NUMEROUS underwriters to the Underwriting Center in the following areas:

¬ Commercial Middle-Market - Handling a $6-8M book of business including Property, Liability, Package, Umbrella, Auto and Workers Compensation coverage’s
¬ Casualty - Handling a $3-6M book of business including Umbrella and Excess coverage’s
¬ Technology and/or Life Sciences - Handling a $4-7 book of business including Package, Auto, Umbrella, International and Workers Compensation coverage’s
¬ Property, Machinery & Marine - Handling a $6-8M book of business including Boiler and Machinery, Inland Marine and Ocean Cargo coverage’s

These positions support the achievement of the regional sales and production branches and Chubb Commercial Insurance underwriting goals related to profit, customer service and producer relationships.

Main Responsibilities include:
Underwrite and negotiate renewals and endorsements.
Achieve favorable retention within given territory.
Underwriting duties include account rounding.
Marketing and servicing accounts based on Chubb guidelines.
Develop strong relationships with independent agents and brokers in order to successfully manage our business. This may require travel to producer locations.

Skills and Competencies:
3 years minimum experience in the lines applied for.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Must have proven ability to successfully negotiate on all levels and develop producer relations.
A strong track record of service orientation is required.
Knowledge of pricing/rate strategies and how to apply them to attain underwriting profit, new business and quality producer management is essential.
Will need a solid background in risk analysis.
Candidate must have strong communication and time management skills.

These positions will be located in Arizona. Remote arrangements may be considered based upon candidate’s knowledge, skills, and experience.
