Barker Educational Services Team (BEST) (www.barkereducation.com) partners with accredited colleges and universities to help them build and expand enrollment for online degree programs. BEST services include marketing, lead generation, enrollment, and retention. Founders of BEST have more than thirty years of experience in higher education.
The Admissions Counselor enrolls students by developing and implementing recruitment strategies, evaluating current recruiting programs and materials, interviewing prospective students and initiating campaigns encouraging students to attend an online college or university.
Responsibilities:
Outbound calls to follow up on inquiries about degree programs
Work with employer provided student inquiries to facilitate enrollments and support continuous enrollment
Utilize employer provided CRM to contact and enroll students
Welcome prospective students by processing paperwork; interviewing applicants; and conducting follow-up activities such as letter writing and phone-calling campaigns
Improve quality results by studying, evaluating, recommending changes and re-designing processes
Ensure campaigns and activities are compliant with regulatory requirements
Enrich job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; and participating in professional organization
Enhance admissions department and college/university reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests
Requirements:
1 year plus related work experience
Associates degree or higher degree
Students working towards their bachelor degree are strongly encourage to apply
Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (May be flexible
if person wants to work Tuesday-Saturday and/or evenings in the future)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
Strong communication and writing skills
Proficient with Internet research
Strong decision making skills
Persuasive and results driven
Strong work ethic
Self starter and great attitude!
