Job Description : The successful candidate will function as an integral part of the Sullair Industrial Products Business Unit Product Development team, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will drive product warranty and cost reduction initiatives thru:



Participation in product development and cost reduction teams.
Performing engineering evaluation of new components and redesign of existing systems to reduce cost.
Developing test plans and organizing, interpreting and summarizing experimental data.
Developing, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and specifications.
Working with suppliers to support development.
Use of Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) tools to determine root cause of warranty failures.
Validation and implementation of proposed solutions.
Education BA/BS degree w/four to seven plus years experience
MA/MS degree w/two to five plus years experience
Experience/Qualifications Application of mechanical, thermodynamic, and heat transfer principals in the design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical components and systems.
Work experience in the mechanical design of components for rotating or reciprocating machinery such as engines or compressors is a plus.

Candidate Must Have : BA/BS degree w/four to seven plus years
