Employee Communications has an objective to be a benchmark within 5 years (2012) and both strategic and operational planning by the North America Employee Communications Manager are critical to achieving this goal. Developing and implementing a strategy in North America (aligned with global strategy) to make company Employee Communications a benchmark. Support development of and lead implementation of a 5-year plan for leadership among both salaried and hourly employees carefully assessing our current situation, resources required and effective delivery mechanisms. Overseeing daily operations of mass media efforts including company World, company Online, Employee Network and Blue Oval Connect email for retirees. Involves content planning, editorial supervision, staff management and strategic planning to keep the efforts fresh and relevant to employees and retirees, aligning content with global colleagues, and, developing plans to increase the reach of employee communications tools. Working closely with Communications colleagues to ensure proper internal communications plans exist for product launches and other major areas (i.e., financial reports, corporate events).
