Crawford Communications Group (www.crawfordgroup.com) is currently looking for a qualified Marketing Communications Manager consultant for an engagement with our leading technology client in the Scotts Valley/Santa Cruz area, California.

Target Consulting Dates: ASAP for approximately 3-4 four months, with potential conversion to permanent employee status.
Firm Consulting Rate: $40 -$60/per hour, depending on experience, as a w-2 employee of Crawford Communications Group.
Hours/location: Full-time 40 hours/week. On-site at corporate headquarters.

ENGAGEMENT DESCRIPTION: The Marketing Communications Manager will lead, manage and deliver a wide range of global B2C marketing communication deliverables. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded professional with hands on program/project management experience, capable of collaborating with internal teams and interfacing with external vendors for execution. Requires an independent performer and self-starter, who can drive deliver programs/projects on-time and on-budget.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

6-12 years of technology marketing communications experience, predominantly in B2C.
A minimum of 3 years experience as a Marketing Communications Manager, and/or 5 plus years in marketing communications program/project management, across the full integrated mix of campaigns/deliverables. Global market experience required.
A blend of some strategic planning/road mapping skills but primarily a well-rounded project manager of multi-faceted tactical execution.
Proven track record interfacing with Product Management, Marketing Communications team-members, and global-localization vendors.
Proven project management capabilities for delivering programs on time/on budget via: supporting stakeholders and group marcom manager, cross- functional teams, managing review processes and timelines, and budget/campaign management.
Hands on experience developing, managing and delivering a full range of offline/online deliverables including: user guides, sales guides, brochures, data sheets, case studies, newsletters, scripts and Web content/page updates.
Solid experience with consumer packaging, collateral, and POP/POS materials.
Strong content development, management, and delivery expertise. Primarily marketing documentation and some lighter technical documentation/updating.
Very strong writing, editing and proofreading proficiency. Professional writing samples/portfolio required.

STRONGLY PREFER:

Consumer electronics, computer accessories, online entertainment and/or online gaming industry/domain marketing exposure a plus.
Retail marketing communications and promotions experience a plus.
BA/BS in Marketing, General Business, Communications, or similar.
