The Opportunity
We seek an experienced Counter Sales Representative in order to provide customers with quick, efficient and courteous service at the counter. This position is located at our Jefferson City, MO. location. This individual will:
· Sells merchandise to customers over the counter, utilizing knowledge of products sold.
· Prepares sales slips.
· Receives payment or obtain credit authorization.
· Places new merchandise on display.
· Keeps daily list of stock-out items.
· Recommends new stock items by completing necessary forms.
· Maintains security of cash drawer and shipping ticket audit copies.
· Performs Material Handler functions as needed.
· Updates knowledge of product line by self-study and attending product training courses.
Requirements
· High school graduate or G.E.D., plus additional specialized training.
· One to three years related sales and warehouse experience.
· Thorough knowledge of electrical and telecommunication product lines, warehousing and office routing.
· Ability to work with customers.
· Ability to lift 70lbs.
