Responsible for all activities related to the full engineering life cycle of Software Development for a ruggedized, mobile computing communications platform on locomotive. Position includes development of Functional Requirements, Software Design & Implementation, Software Unit Test, and Systems Testing. Position also includes specification and development of Test Tools. Responsible for development processes (ISO) and quality processes (Six Sigma) for new software applications. Interaction with Systems Engineering and Customers required.
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Engineering.

- Minimum of 2 years Software Engineering experience required.

- Minimum 1+ years experience with Object Oriented Software Design and Implementation required.

Desired

- Experience with Real Time Operating Systems and Real Time Programming.

- Experience with communications software development.

- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

- Strong oral and written communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
