Lead systems engineer for engine NPI programs Essential Functions:
* Lead engine development engineering teams on new product development programs.
* Responsible for engine system design specifications and interface control documents.
* Responsible for engine systems design, including schematics, reliability, cost, weight, system modeling, documentation, design reviews, and systems level FMEA's.
* Responsible for emissions, fuel consumption, and performance development.
* Utilize Six Sigma methodology * Responsible for overall engine program schedule(s).
* Responsible for engine program budget(s). Qualifications
* BS Mechanical Engineering.
* Minimum of three years of diesel engine design or performance development experience.
* Min 1+ years experience with engine systems.
* Min 1+ years experience with engine applications.
* Min 1+ years experience with engine support systems including cooling and lubrication systems.
Desired
* Greenbelt or Blackbelt Certification
* Masters or advanced degree a plus
* Experience with solid modeling in Unigraphics or similar CAE application
* Experience with finite element analysis
* Experience with Gamma Technologies engine modeling software
* Experience with Fluent CFD software
* Experience with engine testing and data acquisition
