The Solar Installation & Downstream Strategy Manager will be the single point of accountability for strategic reccomendations and development for Solar PV downstream capabilities, including PV system installation and maintenance services, system monitoring, turnkey projects, and Power Purchase Agreements.
Essential Responsibilities
Understand opportunities for differentiation and margin capture for Solar PV downstream activities, i.e. turnkey project and installation services.
Define market and GE opportunity for market entry into downstream activities, including financial & strategic implications & make vs. buy strategy.
Work with engineering to create product specification, value proposition, and pricing reccomendations for turnkey projects & installation services offering.
Development and oversight of workflow and requirements Installation, maintenance, and monitoring offering.
Establish and execute plan to offer these services in most appropriate manner (own, partner, source), working with Businss Development, Sourcing, and other functions.
Identify and evaluate acquisition or partnership opportunities with downstream service capabilities.
Understand and evaluate opportunities for differentiation and/or greater margin capture for Solar PV Financing, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPA).
Other duties deemed necessary to support the Solar business and its growth. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing from an accredited university.
Minimum 5 years professional experience.
Minimum 2 years Renewable Energy industry experience (Wind or Solar).

Desired
MBA or Master's degree in Marketing, Engineering, Finance, or similar field with related experience.
Solar PV industry experience, preferably including Solar PV installation, services, turnkey projects, or finance experience.
Basic due diligence skills for qualitiative evaluation of acquisition and/or partnership opportunities to support executive management decisions
Experience with market assessment, basic financial modeling, and data analysis skills with Excel.
Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast paced growth environment.
Proven strong work ethic, self-driven and result oriented to meet and exceed objectives.
Ability to communicate effectively and work successfully in matrix and multi-cultural environment.
Adaptable/Flexible - being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and work scope.
