Position Description The applicant will serve as Chief Eng advisor for the National Team Systems Integration and Verification (I&V) Product Team. Candidate must have experience in complex large scale System Eng and Integrated programs of DoD, to include completion of system level integration, test and assessment efforts. Primary focus will be to ensure product technical content, continuity and process consistency within the PT for all plans, evaluations, analysis and assessments. Responsibilities include ability to ensure products reflect approved baseline, leadership goals and system intent, participation and guidance in PT peer reviews assessing product content and maturity in order to maximize system utility to the Warfighter, Leading a bi-weekly System Engineering Integration Working Group (SE-IWG) with participating directorates addressing integration, M&S and test topics, Active participation and leadership with Joint Analysis Teams (JAT) and Joint Assessment Groups (JAG) leading to the successful characterization and assessment of the system, participation in test and evaluation venues representing DE products, positions, policy and guidance and must possess excellent Project Management Skill. Extensive travel to the NCR will be required. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to lead activities to plan, design, develop and verify highly-complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Leads others to evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Leads analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Leads, develops designs and conducts research that results in new requirements management methodologies or result in unique approaches that mitigate assessment/review findings. Creates and implements strategic approaches for program and business area decisions. Works independently.
