Starting salary: $54,000 - $67000 commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits. John Deere Credit is looking for Field Service Professionals to manage in-field crop losses for crop insurance products offered by John Deere Risk Protection (JDRP). Provides value added services for other Deere units and third party vendors in assigned territory. Assures company profitability through efficient and accurate field inspections and other related in-field services. Assists with recruiting and directing contractors assigned to in-field inspections. Responsible for reviewing field inspections to a determined amount and will coordinate all insurance claim audits with the appropriate stakeholders. Interfaces with John Deere dealers by becoming familiar and staying current with John Deere precision AG technology. Works with JDRP Underwriting and cooperative universities to improve in-field inspection accuracy. Major Duties: Investigates assigned claims, conducts field audits to determine loss, identifies and reports findings. Works with Risk Management Agency (RMA), National Crop Insurance Services (NCIS), John Deere Ag Management Services (AMS) and cooperative universities on research to help develop training for improved in-field inspections. Assists with recruiting and providing work direction to independent loss adjustment contractors. Develops and continually improves product knowledge in specified areas. Supports relationships with insured to improve farming practices to minimize potential loss and to maximize total sales potential of John Deere's Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products thereby ensuring that sales efforts are integrated with John Deere Risk Protection (JDRP). Work with stakeholders in determining cause of crop loss. Provides field status updates on customer problems, field conditions, safety issues and policy problems to Field Services Manager and coordinates claim processing. Works with John Deere Risk Proection (JDRP) Underwriting on loss reserves and risk assessment and coordinates field reviews to support "Incurred But Not Reported" (IBNR). Works on expense management of loss adjustment activities within assigned territory. Knowledge of the basics of insurance statutes and regulations within area of responsibility. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory decision-making processes and the impact of proposed legislation and/or regulations on the Company's operations. Investigation skills to determine root cause and conduct trend analysis of incidents. Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. Knowledge of products and services offered by the appropriate area of responsibility. Education Degree in an Business Administration/Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience.
