Job Purpose

Technical Project Leaders within the Controls and Power Electronics COE NPI team own deliverables and serve as the prime interface with internal GE customers and program managers.

Essential Functions

Responsible for negotiating work scope and schedule and serve as the key technical interface for their assigned projects. Develop integrated plans for the NPI team, secure resources consistent with those commitments and ensure those resources are executing to the plan. Key single point contact within the NPI team for assigned projects and key to meeting our commitments.

Provide leadership and technical direction to a large team for a specific program / project with significant business impact.

Establish a plan, define objective, and priority, identify resources and execute.

Provide counsel to team on design processes and standards.

Effectively communicate with the customer and program manager to assure a quality product is delivered.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

At least 8+ years of experience leading multi-disciplined engineering teams.

Eligibility Requirements

If currently a GE employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 12 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating.

Role may be offered at lower commensurate with experience.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Demonstrated Technical Project Leadership ability.

At least 5 years experience in design and implementation of control systems or power conversion products.
