Job Purpose
The Professional in this role will provide leadership and technical direction to a large, multidisciplined team within the Controls & Power Electronics COE Product Development organization. This includes component engineers, electronics engineers, mechanical engineers and electrical engineers.
Essential Functions
Recruit, hire and train top technical talent in these disciplines and develop proactive plans to continue growing their technical expertise
Build processes to capture and reuse knowledge gained throughout the product and technology development processes
Build component and module level libraries to encapsulate this knowledge in a way that is easily reusable
Drive component ownership and incorporate lessons learned from validation, manufacturing, and field experience into design practice improvements
Use these tools, processes and practices to drive measurable improvement in productivity, design quality and reliability
Work with Product NPI Managers to ensure adequate funding and timing are provided to execute on the planned projects Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
At least 10 years of design engineering experience
At least 5 years experience leading engineering team
Eligibility Requirements

Master's of Science in Engineering
Solid track record of engineering accomplishment
Strong Oral and written communication skills
At least 5 years experience in design of control systems or power conversion products General
