RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responsible for Project Engineering on aerospace and automotive or other test relevant markets.
* Will manage, plan, organize, execute and problem solve assigned projects related to the delivery of test systems for aerospace structural static and fatigue testing
* His/her primary concern is for system or component performance, so he/she will initiate or carry out whatever analysis tasks are necessary to ensure specification performance compliance
* This position requires cradle to grave responsibility for project execution, hardware installation on and off site acceptance testing, customer training, and coordination of project activities and support staff to execute projects.
* The Project Engineer is concerned with the analysis, conceptual design, development, and in particular the performance of structural static and fatigue testing equipment.
* The Project Engineer will guide the evolution of the conceptual design, technical project planning and development testing.
REQUIREMENTS:
* A BSEE, BSME, or equivalent experience in either Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
* 5-10 years prior employment/experience demonstrated in structural and mechanical engineering and related environment involving design, simulation, analysis and testing of aerospace products.
* Expected domestic travel of 30-50% - some international.
* Candidates must be either a U.S. Citizen or be a Permanent Resident (due to U.S. Government and Military contracts)
* Highly motivated and creative individual.
* Experience with durability, vibration, fatigue testing and in particular MTS, IST, FCS test systems is key.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's Degree in Engineering or related area.
* Full-scale structural static and fatigue testing; landing gear testing; vibration testing; Ironbird testing; FAA Certification testing.
* Hardware/software experience; analog and digital servo controls; data acquisition; instrumentation; calibration; system integration; hydraulic and pneumatic test equipment.
* Aircraft product specific experience.
* Working knowledge and experience with dedicated test softeware and general office software is preferred.
* Exhibit good planning and organization skills
* Strong written and verbal communications skills
