eConsultAmerica is a preferred vendor supplier on retainer with a major financial services/insurance organization. Our client is seeking an experienced and savvy Life Actuary – Annuities with experience working with ALPHA modeling software. This position will be based in Columbus, OH. Our client is offering a full relocation package. This position will require a minimum of 5% travel or as needed. Position Details
This position is in the Individual Investments Department. Qualified candidates will have experience working with ALPHA modeling software. Organization sets rates for three products - fixed annuities, media annuities, and variable annuities. Skill set - Life or annuity background is preferred, ALPHA modeling software (VB, C++, etc. are also helpful). A candidate must be a credentialed actuary (FSA) in order to be considered for this position.

You will apply proper actuarial principles and techniques to all aspects in the design, pricing, and administration and reporting of individual life, annuities, and health or group insurance products. You will work in conjunction with other departments in response to changing market conditions and net market opportunities. This position reports to Actuarial Officer or Vice President. Responsible for actuarial students - as assigned.

The chosen candidate will apply proper actuarial principles and techniques to all aspects in the design, pricing, and administration and reporting of individual life, annuities, and health or group insurance products. You will work in conjunction with other departments in response to changing market conditions and net market opportunities. You may supervise actuarial students. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree is required.
Achievement of Fellowship in the Society of Actuaries (FSA).
Membership in the Society of Actuaries and American Academy of Actuaries is highly preferred.
5 – 10 years of experience with VB and C++ is highly preferred.
