Job Responsibilities:
1) Manage client expectations management while delivering the services and solutions associated with the industry-related LDM offerings and client specific data warehouse PDMs
2) Lead the designing and delivery of data warehousing solutions to the retail, hospitality, travel and transportation industries, with specific emphasis on logical data modeling, database design, and metadata management
3) Play lead role on large, complex data warehouse implementations, or possibly multiple smaller projects
4) Facilitate the designing of the client’s logical data model and the transition of that design into a physical database
5) Ensure the linkage between the bank’s business goals and objectives and the proposed data warehouse architecture and data model
6) Provide expertise on industry-related logical data models and contribute to its continued improvement
7) Contribute to the overall warehouse designing and integration effort with specific emphasis on data sourcing and transformation requirements
8) Mentor junior consultants to grow skills in the area of logical data modeling and physical database designing
9) Participate in, and possibly lead, an data warehouse community of interest for the region or area solution team
10) Transform business information into model (most often data models) both LDM and PDM and leveraging industry-related LDM IP in support of these efforts
11) Demonstrate an understanding of relational database concepts (DB2, Teradata, Oracle, Informix) in an application development environment and a working knowledge of third-party tools (ERWIN or Similar Modeling tools, Visio, MS Project, MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint)
12) Participate in customer and team relationship building

Job Requirements:
1) Background of relational database designing and logical data modeling concepts
2) Expertise in facilitating logical data modeling workshops
3) Comprehensive understanding of data warehouse designing and implementation
4) Superb consulting skills
5) Ability to educate others and run workshops
6) Superb presentation and communication skills
7) Knowledge of various merchant database products (Oracle, Informix, DB2)
8) Ability to work equally well in a business or IT setting
9) Superb knowledge of IT standards and enabling technologies for the banking industry
10) Willingness to travel – (80% – 100%)
11) Experience in "modeling of the retail (or other industries) business" for a successful data warehouse
12) Proficient in industry standard techniques for process modeling and data modeling
13) Technical expertise combined with industry acumen and knowledge of business rules specific to the respective industry and micro-segment.
14) Demonstrated knowledge of data warehouse implementation process, from business requirements through logical modeling, physical database design, data sourcing and data transformation, data loading, SQL and end-user tools
15) Proficient in 3rd normal form relational modeling with an understanding of the concepts of dimensional modeling for data marts and a clear grasp of the differences between the two techniques
16) Experience in physical data model design and business discovery activities
17) Experience in managing data models and metadata
18) Experience in data assessment and source data systems analysis
19) Understanding of relational database concepts (DB2, Oracle, Informix) in an application development environment
