Musts:
1. BSME or equivalent engineering degree
2. At least 3 years of experience performing structural analyses
3. Proficiency in HyperWorks pre and post processors and Nastran solver
4. Skill using Windows workstation and MS Office applications
5. Good interpersonal communication skills; both written and verbal
6. Positive attitude
7. Able to obtain ITAR clearance (should be US citizen or legal permanent resident)
Desired Skills:
1. Knowledge of structural materials and strain-based fatigue
2. Experience interfacing with 3D design software, particularly Unigraphics
3. Knowledge of experimental stress measurement and data acquisition methods
4. Experience using UNIX or Linux operating systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and other Windows PC-based software, the Internet and programming languages
5. Ability to work in a global team environment
6. Truck product knowledge
7. Experience with advanced analysis techniques, such as non-linear FEA in Abaqus and/or LS-Dyna, and optimization analysis
8. Ability to understand/coordinate/use Applied Mechanics Lab test results
9. Initiative and persistence in problem solving
10. Advanced degree in Engineering/Structural Mechanics.
SUPPORTING
Musts:
BSME or equivalent engineering degree
Mechanical, Structural, Automotive, Civil, Aerospace, etc.
Not Electrical or Engineering Technology
At least 3 years of experience performing structural analyses
Proficiency in HyperWorks(HyperMesh) pre and post processers and Nastran solver
Experience should be in one or more of these industries, in order of preference:
i. Heavy Truck
ii. Light Truck
iii. Automotive
iv. Ground Equipment (cranes, trains, bulldozers, etc.)
v. Aviation
vi. Tier 1 Equipment for Automotive
Within these industries, experience preference is for a major system (body or chassis preferred), but component experience may be acceptable.
Areas include:
i. Non-Linear / Crash Analysis
ii. Testing
iii. Durability / Stiffness Analysis
iv. Analysis Method Development
Must have been used in project work within the last 2 years.
Skill using Windows workstation and MS Office applications
Good interpersonal communication skills; both written and verbal
Positive attitude
Able to obtain ITAR clearance (should be US citizen or legal permanent resident)
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of structural materials and strain-based fatigue (or Fatigue / Cumulative Damage)
Experience interfacing with 3D design software, particularly Unigraphics Must be able to import solid geometry and interpret models
Knowledge of experimental stress measurement and data acquisition methods
Needed to interact with individuals conducting the testing
Experience using UNIX or Linux operating systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and other Windows PC-based software, the Internet and programming languages
Ability to work in a global team environment
Truck product knowledge
Experience with advanced analysis techniques, such as non-linear FEA in Abaqus and/or LS-Dyna, and optimization analysis
Ability to understand/coordinate/use Applied Mechanics Lab test results
