Leads the overall engineered wood flooring manufacturing operation at
the Danville, VA production site to ensure all objectives (Safety, Quality, Customer Service, Cost, Team Development) are met.



Major Functions and Scope:



Directs and coordinates activities of sequences concerned with the
production of engineered flooring.

Identifies and conducts training to further the mission of developing a high performance work system.
Establishes manufacturing capacities based on equipment and labor
availability.
Ensures continuous and efficient production in desired quantities and
in a timely manner to meet logistic schedules.
Manages staff, preparing work schedules and assigning specific duties.
Works with similar positions at other plants to leverage similar
technology and methodology to the engineered operation
Develops and/or reviews performance data to measure productivity and
goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and process improvement.
Establishes, maintains, and analyzes budgets, records, and other
controls to continually minimize costs consistent with efficient operations.
Establishes and implements departmental policies, goals, objectives,
and procedures, conferring with other leaders and staff members as
necessary.
Determines staffing requirements and oversees personnel processes
within sequences.
Ensures appropriate training of staffs as need is identified.
Ensures development, monitors and conducts reviews of quality system.
Establishes improvements in each sequence to improve safety, quality
and production.
Coaches and reviews performance of exempt level direct reports.
Works with Environmental, Health, and Safety coordinator to insure
compliance with regulations and development of behavior based safety.
Ensures alignment of sequence goals and activities with organizational goals.
Performs other duties as assigned
