As Staff Pharmacist we’ll rely on you to fill orders with accuracy, check technician prepared products before release, maintain security of pharmacy and controlled substances, enter orders and patient information with accuracy, aid in the training of new staff, update the Director about the daily activities of the pharmacy, and aid the Director in maintaining the pharmacy.

Our ideal candidate has experience as a Staff Pharmacist in a hospital setting and
effective verbal and written communication skills.

The staff pharmacist supervises the unit drug distribution system, coordinates the IV admixture program, maintains the drug formulary, and the drug information library. The staff pharmacist also monitors patient drug usage, participates in the review and revision of department policies and performs other job-related duties and responsibilities.

Hours/Shifts: Day shift Sunday-Saturday, 1 weekend every 6th weekend

Qualifications and Responsibilities

Current Pharmacist License in good standing
Must have clean background and good prior work history
Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, using the English language.
BS or Pharm D from an accredited school of Pharmacy
Ideal candidate will have previous hospital pharmacy experience, however new graduates will be considered.
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to understand and follow directions
Must be able to exercise good judgment when working independently
Interpret and process physician orders
Dispense medication
Monitor selected drug therapies
Provides drug information by answering questions/requests of health care professionals.
