Hospital Staff Pharmacist in Baltimore, Maryland

Responsible for all functions necessary for the effective daily operation of all pharmacy services including drug distribution, drug information, and optimization of drug therapy through clinical services. Supervise and participate in the accurate preparation and distribution of medications to the patient care units in accordance with departmental policies/procedures and as directed by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Demonstrate the ability to competently interpret, evaluate, and clarify drug orders. Demonstrate competence in all technical skills required for accurate preparation of sterile products including calculations, sterile technique, hood and clean room maintenance and assess the appropriateness of all sterile product orders. Effectively provide drug information to pharmacy staff, physicians, nurses, other hospital employees and the community as required. Effectively provide patient and family education as requested or as outlined in departmental policy.


Requirements: Candidates must have BS degree in Pharmacy or PharmD with license to practice pharmacy in the state of Maryland. One year or more of hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
