They specialize in all phases of construction-related activities. The company has worked on numerous projects, varying in size from single-storey buildings to complex high-rise structures including hospitals, public works, transportation and water-supply projects. Their principals and associates have over 60 years of experience in implementing complex public works projects from planning through to construction and startup. The firm is fully staffed to provide project managers, engineers, schedulers, cost estimators, inspectors and administrative personnel, as their client’s needs dictate.
Job Responsibilities:
1) Track submittals and RFCs for timely responses
2) Work closely with Contractor and Architect on solving problems and challenging issues
3) Maintain and distribute current contract plans and specifications
4) Confirm Contractor’s maintenance of record drawings
5) Provide technical and engineering support to PM/CM
6) Coordinate with surveying, testing and inspection staff
7) Oversee field coordination (under the direction of the PM/CM) with the Contractor, responding to field issues
8) Assist in the analysis and recommendations of field issues with the PM/CM staff
9) Track, estimate and assist with negotiating change orders (up to $10K)
10) Develop and maintain meeting minutes
11) Perform other duties as directed by PM/CM
Job Requirements:
1) BS/BA in Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning or Construction Management
2) P. Eng. license
3) Minimum 5 years of experience in construction management (public works projects and educational facilities preferred)
4) Experience in reviewing and preparing change orders as well as closing out projects
5) Knowledge of Expedition software preferred
6) Proficiency in change management preferred
7) Ability to log and track all change orders and claims in Expedition software
8) Ability to complete OSHA Training Course in Construction Safety & Health (within 30 days of start date)
