As a J2EE Application Developer, you will provide high quality technology solutions that address business needs by developing applications within mature technology environments. You will utilize your programming skills to adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical code base including any required documentation.
You will participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts and team members to analyze business requirements and outline the proposed IT solution. You will participate in design reviews and provide input to the design recommendations; incorporate security requirements into design; and provide input to information/data flow, and understand and comply with Project Life Cycle Methodology in all planning steps. You will also adhere to IT Control Policies throughout design, development and testing and incorporate Corporate Architectural Standards into application design specifications. Additionally, you will document the detailed application specifications; translate technical requirements into programmed application modules and develop/enhance software application modules. You will participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications, identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues, and review and provide feedback to any required final user documentation.
Technologies utilized in this position include but are not limited to Java, J2EE, Java Messaging Services (JMS), Object-oriented analysis and design techniques, HTML, Java Server Pages (JSP), Oracle 9-10g, JDBC and PL/SQL.

• College degree (Computer Science preferred).
• Client side required skills include Java, JSP. Strut framework, spring frameworkd, and/or web service experience is a plus.
• Server side required skills include Java, J2EE, EJB, programming and design techniques.
• Proficiency in PL/SQL, including triggers, stored procedures, queries, etc. is required.
• Experience in data warehousing, Data Marts &/or BI is helpful.
• Full Life Cycle applications development experience is a must.
• Minimum 5 - 7 years of Application Development work experience
• Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills
• Exposure to Open Source technologies (Ant, Anthill, Junit, XDoclet, Log4J, IBatis) is a plus
• Experience with Weblogic is preferred.
• Solid experience in Oracle 10g (or above) PL/SQL and UNIX ksh programming and design techniques
• Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures
• Experience with the Financial Services industry experience helpful
• Good oral and written communication skills.
