The Eastern Illinois University School of Business invites applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor of Management position beginning in August of 2009. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Business Strategy and Policy at both graduate and undergraduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates who are also qualified to teach in other areas such as Entrepreneurship, Human Resources or International Business. The successful candidate also will be expected to engage in research and service activities.

Requirements include: PhD or DBA in Management (or substantially equivalent discipline), with preference given to candidates having an earned doctorate from an AACSB accredited school; demonstrated ability for effective teaching; and an established record of intellectual contribution or demonstrated potential for such contributions. (ABDs close to completion will be considered).

Eastern Illinois University places priority on teaching excellence for a traditional student body in a residential setting. Approximately 12,000 students are enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs. The University, located in east central Illinois, offers the benefits of a small community with access to several large cities including Chicago, St. Louis, and Indianapolis. The School of Business is fully accredited by AACSB and enrolls approximately 1950 students in six undergraduate majors, four minors, and an MBA program.
