They will support multiple Grainger branches within a district/market and provide Sales Team support by following up on customer inquiries, quotes, and sales leads. The Market Sales Coordinator will proactively work to grow the business with leverage accounts. They will inform and educate branch personnel on sales growth tools and opportunities and work to provide solutions to customers needs through integrated online, phone and local branch channel networks.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Makes outbound calls to follow up on inquiries, open quotes, sales leads and on new accounts.
• Provides branch and sales support with activities related to sourcing, quotes and closing sales leads.
• Analyzes sales results with unassigned/leverage accounts and develops and implements strategies to grow sales.
• Actively probes to uncover unique and complex customer requirements and develops cost effective solutions to build customer relationships, loyalty and retention.
• Reactivates and wins back customers who have reduced or discontinued solution resolution with Grainger.
• Presents service, product, and promotional offerings to customers in order to generate customer awareness and sales.
• Understands and utilizes current sales policies especially with respect to pricing.
• Demonstrates local market knowledge and shares market and/or competitive information with branch and sales team.
• Acts as a liaison between the supported District Branches and Branch Managers, quotations and other support departments as needed.

Job requirements, including experience and education, include the following:
• College degree preferred or 3 years experience with direct customer interaction in service and sales environment.
• Ability to travel within assigned district
• Knowledge of MRO products and their applications.
• Self-motivated, possessing a high energy level and a desire to win.
• Possess the technological capabilities to efficiently navigate the Grainger systems to support customers.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• Ability to listen, gain trust and bring to closure an action, project, resolution or sale with customers.
• Ability to utilize sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns, determine appropriate approach and provide solutions.
