Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. Code may be used in commercial or end-user applications, such as materials management, financial management, HRIS or desktop applications products. Using current programming language and technologies, writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications. Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance. May interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.



Duties & Responsibilities


SOFTWARE BUILD ENGINEER



Software developer will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing support of a complex automated software configuration management system. The position will be responsible for contributing to development of the tools used in the software build process and for Installer development. The candidate must be able to support these internal production systems and contribute to their continual improvement. Participation in the implementation of automated deployment systems is also likely.



Required Skills:



--5 years of experience in software configuration management and automated software build systems



Candidates must possess strong knowledge of:



--Version Control systems



--Support of complex automated software build processes



--Experience with build platforms, such as MS Build, CruseControl, etc



--Experience with Installshield and Microsoft Installer technologies and Microsoft SMS or similar software distribution systems



--Strong scripting skills: Perl, Shell or PowerShell

In addition to the technical skills listed above, the candidate must possess strong organizational skills, be a self starter, highly motivated, and be very customer service oriented


Qualifications:
Experience: Requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
Travel Requirements: Post deployment support will require onsite support during release
