Safeco has an exciting opportunity for a customer focused and analytical-minded individual to join our Auto Casualty Claims team. As an inside Claims Examiner you will handle claims requiring substantial investigation to determine coverage, liability, bodily injury and physical damage, negotiate resolution of claim based on facts and legal climate where claims occurred, document correspondence on claim and prepare agenda for resolving issues.

We are looking for someone with:
Bachelors Degree or Equivalent work experience handling auto claims and making liability decisions.
Some litigation experience preferred, but not required.
Prior experience in a fast-paced, multi-priority, customer-focused environment.
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, effective written and verbal communication skills, a strong ability to negotiate and make sound decisions, ability to identify necessary information and analyze that information with a critical eye, successful time management skills and the ability to excel in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency in typing, computer use, and MS Office Software necessary.
