We have an immediate need for a Protection Engineer-Alliance for our St. Louis location.

Relocation Assistance and Interview Travel Assistance Available.

Responsibilities:

*Lead the technical team in proposal activity for designs and proposals including technical specifications, component costing, and engineering effort estimation.
*Perform basic studies necessary to verify proper specification and design of proposed solutions.
*Augment the commercial team for customer presentations of technical capabilities and proposals.
*Champion programs that make the engineering team more efficient and cost effective.
*Develop new engineering concepts and products biased on feedback from market exposure.
*Support opportunity screening & orders closing strategy efforts.
*Ensure compliance to customer technical specifications for proposal work scopes.
*Provide risk analysis support.
*Provide advice on in territory costs.
*Work closely with the NRPS Product Line Leader and Engineering Leader.
*Maintain a high level of technical competency in current technologies, product offerings, applications, and regulatory compliance.
*Mentor other engineers.

Qualifications Required:

*Minimum of 3 years of experience with design, studies, specifications, and implementation of electrical transmission and distribution systems.
*BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or technical degree.
*Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States required.

Desired Qualifications:

*Strong knowledge of power systems automation equipment, SCADA applications, power system protection schemes, communication applications, knowledge of factory and site testing and commissioning methods and maintenance procedures.
*Ability to apply advanced ideas in the technical engineering field to practical business problems.
*Customer focused attitude with proven positive results.
*Available to travel, occasionally overseas.
*Strong command of the English language using oral and written skills to communicate technical and business concepts. *Strong negotiation skills and business sense.
*Credible self starter and self-motivator who is level headed under pressure.
*PE Certification.
*Six Sigma Certification.
*At least 6 years experience in power systems with an emphasis on high voltage transmission equipment, studies, specifications, and installations.
*Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent technical degree.
*To provide value to our customers and drive orders through the development of innovative conceptual solutions and technical specifications for project applications.
